Tell me about yourself

Tell me about yourself

Most of the interviewers ask us to 'tell me about yourself ' and the way you tell about your past projects, roles, and your background could be an icebreaker. If they like it there are 70% chances of getting hired.

Best ways to answer are:

      1. Attempt confidently

Yes, you heard it right!! Tell very confidently, because lack of confidence rises a doubt about your background. If the candidate isn’t confident how can your team and manager trust you?? Not possible right. So go with confidence.

     2. Always use professional words

If you are applying for salesman position, and the interviewer asks you could you demonstrate how do sell our product????? You cannot simply answer as per constitutional law this product is very useful and as per section-b file 345, it is legal to use this product. Sounds crazy right?? The interviewer might be thinking why the heck is he talking about law terms right!! So always, always use right terms.

       3. Use “WE ” than “I”

It is recommended to use ‘WE’ than saying ‘I’ because it shows that you are an active and good team player. It also shows you can also get along with other team members.

     4. Make an eye contact

Making an eye contact has a lot of benefits. It shows your confidence, honest and the interest towards the company.

   5. Prepare ahead!!

If somebody leaks the question paper you will definitely prepare those question, even if you are not interested in those topic right! So, always be prepared with this question.

    6. Prepare for the questions about your project

Whatever you say has to be genuine. Because you cannot simply bluff, interviewers are trained to take interviews and easily catch you by asking questions. If you are unable to answer the questions, even you have a good skill they are high chances of rejection.

   7. Make it short and sweet!!

When you are asked this question ‘Tell me about yourself’ always answer in no more than 2minuits. I repeat no more than 2 mins. If you are long with your introduction you might bore the interviewer. Always be short and sweet!!

     8. Stop if the interviewer asks you any question in between!

Always go with the pace, You cannot simply keep talking till 2 mins or unit you finish off your introduction. So keep going as per interviewer.
